Military Cultural Alliance (formally Vicenza Community of Color)
Empowering Service Members. Honoring Legacy. Strengthening Community.
Who We Are
The Military Cultural Alliance, formally Vicenza Community of Color, is a nonprofit dedicated to the professional development and cultural legacy of U.S. service members and their families. Through scholarships, professional development, cultural events, and our Flag Restoration Project, we connect opportunity with tradition and ensure the diverse stories of our Armed Forces are never forgotten.
Our Mission
We empower service members and families through education, professional development, and community connection while preserving the legacy of the U.S. Armed Forces at home and abroad.

Why Our Work Matters
Scholarships for Service Members & Families
Many service members, veterans, and families struggle to find reliable, updated information on military scholarships and education grants. Opportunities exist, but they are scattered and hard to track.
Our comprehensive military scholarship database makes it simple to find scholarships for service members, veterans, spouses, and dependents in one place.

Professional Development Webinars
Our professional development webinar series offers credit-eligible training for service members and their dependents, led by experienced professionals and subject-matter experts.
Webinars focus on leadership development, career readiness, promotion preparation, education pathways, and transferable skills, providing practical knowledge that supports both military and civilian professional success.

Cultural Events & Community
Military families can feel isolated, especially when stationed away from home or overseas. Without opportunities to gather, celebrate, and reflect, community ties weaken.
MilCA hosts military cultural events that commemorate important holidays like Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Juneteenth — along with smaller local meetups to foster connection, honor history, and build belonging.

Flag Restoration Project
Overseas U.S. war memorials are powerful symbols of sacrifice, but many display tattered or faded American flags. This diminishes the dignity of these sites and the memory of those they honor.
Through the Flag Restoration Project, we replace worn American flags at overseas memorials, ensuring they reflect the honor and respect our service members deserve.
